KPop Demon Hunters has been on a ‘Golden’ run, picking up VFX Awards and the Oscars for best animated feature and best original song. If you’re one of those fans who’s felt that the movie’s vibrant stylised animation made it perfectly suited for a comic, you’re in luck: it’s finally here!
Netflix has announced the upcoming release of a KPop Demon Hunters comic along with other tie-ins to the movie, and you can preorder them now.
If you can’t wait until November, you can while away the time colouring your favourite characters. Netflix has also announced the release of an KPop Demon Hunters colouring book, which will be released on 14 July. That will be followed by the physical version of the Art of KPop Demon Hunters on 8 September.

Netflix hasn’t revealed a lot of what the KPop Demon Hunters comic will look like inside, but we’re told it will feature more than 700 pages of vivid comic art over the two volumes, reliving every part of the movie.
It’s a direct adaption of the screenplay written by Danya Jimenez, Hannah McMechan, Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, so don’t expect surprises in terms of the plot. The story will be the same as in the movie, but the adaptation will include the addition of speech bubbles, sound effects and comic panel layouts.

The boxed set is billed as a collector’s piece, presented in a holographic foil slipcase. Two paperback volumes will have French flaps and foil-stamped covers that “gleam with prismatic Honmoon energy”. The spines are designed so that when the two volumes are placed together they reveal Rumi’s dual identity.
The collection also includes lyrics from the full soundtrack, from the Hunter’s Mantra to Jinu’s Lament – Netflix is encouraging fans to sing as they read. It will also come with foldout posters ofHUNTR/X and the Saja Boys.
Meanwhile, the official KPop Demon Hunters colouring book will let you style HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys, whether you want to respect the movie’s colour choices or let your imagination run wild. It will feature 40 single-sided illustrations on thick, perforated paper with plenty of intricate details for adult colouring fans.
Previously available online in digital format, the Art of KPop Demon Hunters looks behind the scenes of the movie with over 500 pieces of concept art, in-progress animation frames and final designs. Developed by Nucleus Studios, it’s written by author, editor, and production professional Tracey Miller-Zarneke, it also includes insights from the film’s writers, directors, artists, animators, and more.
