Men’s Wearhouse Doubles Down on Comedy in New Ads

The indie agency is “doubling down” on the Men’s Wearhouse transformation that began last year, using laughter to address men’s anxiety around clothing and avoiding “another slow-motion shot of a guy adjusting his cufflinks,” per the agency.

“Dress Your Best,” one of the new spots, recalls an embarrassing episode where Zach was asked to leave a cookout because of his shabby duds. Neighbors can be so judgey.

With an assist from Men’s Wearhouse, Zach makes a triumphant return to that annual event, mirroring his host from head to toe and providing a solid sight gag. But even though he’s looking sharp, his skills in the potluck department are still sorely lacking. The brand, and maybe no one, can help him there.

The campaign, from directing duo Peter Martin, will air on broadcast and connected TV, along with social and digital platforms, for the next several months.
