UI and UX Designer (Digital Product)

Job Type:Contract

Role Description

Play&Co Creative Group is a forward-thinking creative studio dedicated to partnering with visionaries to craft meaningful brand and product designs that inspire positive change. Driven by a commitment to exploration and innovation, the studio combines creative storytelling with thoughtful design to shape better futures for people and the planet. With a playful yet purpose-driven approach, Play&Co values collaboration, iteration, and pushing boundaries to create impactful solutions. We’re looking for a junior–mid digital designer to join us for an initial 3‑month contract, with the potential to convert to full‑time. You’ll be working on real product experiences — building UI systems, exploring concepts, and shaping how products feel in use. Not just pushing pixels. What we’re looking for: A good eye for typography, iconography, and component design Solid understanding of responsive design and usability best practices Ability to take direction, explore independently, and present back thinking Interest in motion, interaction, and product behaviour Nice to have: Social / content asset creation

Responsibilities

  • Design intuitive, visually compelling interfaces for digital displays on physical products.
  • Produce wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs in Figma
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective design solutions
  • Work within and contribute to existing design systems and component libraries
  • Iterate rapidly based on feedback and project needs
  • Ensure consistency in visual design, branding, and user experience
  • Prepare design assets and specifications for handoff to development
  • Location:
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the USA.
  • Ideally based in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon / Washington), in a hybrid capacity.
  • Closing Statement
  • If you’re someone who can take a brief, disappear for a few days, and come back with something unexpected — we should talk.
