It’s quickly becoming a glutted field. Just this year, Meta launched AI glasses with Ray-Ban, Whoop rolled out two new wearable devices, and Oura introduced a ceramic smart ring.

These companies face a steep upward climb as Apple, Samsung, and Google have a stranglehold on the market when it comes to brand perception and brand momentum, according to new data from Avasta. Avasta surveys consumers to gauge brand sentiment for products people are in-market to buy.

Avasta’s data tracks a metric called brand momentum—how likely consumers are to buy from a brand and whether it will remain relevant to them in the future.
