ChatGPT Ads expanded its advertising platform with new tools for conversion optimization, attribution, budget management, and campaign automation, continuing its push toward serving performance marketers.
The update introduces several features advertisers have come to expect from mature advertising platforms, including conversion-optimized bidding, mobile measurement integrations, and bulk campaign management.
The biggest addition is conversion-optimized cost-per-click (oCPC) campaigns. Advertisers can now choose a Conversions objective that automatically optimizes for clicks most likely to lead to conversions while maintaining CPC pricing.
The platform also changes how budgets are managed. Beginning next week, campaigns will use average daily budgets calculated over a rolling seven-day period, allowing spending to fluctuate from day to day while staying within the overall budget. Automatic budget pacing also distributes spending more evenly throughout the day.
Measurement also received several updates. Integrations with AppsFlyer and Adjust let advertisers measure app installs and in-app events, while Automatic Advanced Matching uses hashed customer data to improve website conversion attribution.
